Alfred University is pleased to provide students with this financial aid calculator as a guide in planning for college. The calculator will estimate financial need and merit awards based on prior year data. Estimates are based on award policies for the 2019-2020 academic year and are subject to change.
  • The calculator estimates are based on the actual cost of attendance, scholarship and grant awards, and financial aid policies in place for the 2019-2020 academic year. Policies and the availability of gift aid could change and may affect the estimated family contribution and awards at the time of admission.
  • This calculator is intended for full-time, first-time freshman students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. It is not applicable to international, currently enrolled, or graduate students.
  • The estimates provided by this calculator do not represent an offer of financial aid, a final determination of aid eligibility, or an actual award of financial assistance. Calculator estimates shall not be binding on the Secretary of Education, this institution of higher education or the state in which this institution is located.
  • Please remember this calculator is not an application for financial aid or admission. To receive financial aid at Alfred University, you must apply and be accepted for admission, and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • If your family has special circumstances, please contact the Student Financial Aid Office, after submitting your FAFSA, to discuss your circumstances and determine if your situation will qualify for a special review of your aid evaluation.
  • For the 2019-2020 academic year, 100% of our full-time freshman students received AU scholarship and/or need-based grant assistance.
